Michelangelo

Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, poet, and engineer.

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese near Arezzo Tuscany. Hi father Lodovico di Leonardo di Buonarotti di Simoni, was a local magistrate and his mother was Francesca di Neri del Miniato di Siena.

In 1488, at the age of 13, Michelangelo entered the workshop of Domenico Ghirlandaio. Ghirlandaio was an established and well-known painter.

Michelangelo died at the age of 89, on February 18,1564. He was buried in Florence, according to his wishes.
