Ultraviolet Light

Ultraviolet light or UV light can damage artworks on paper.

UV light is found in natural sunlight or fluorescent lighting. This eventually fades or dulls any artwork on paper, which is consistently exposed to it.

Glass that is specifically treated to filter out UV light can ensure long life to artwork on paper.
